So, some of you are still not using Swagbucks, right? Maybe this is because you don't understand what they are? Or maybe you've tried them but become frustrated with them? I'm hoping that today's post will clear up most of the confusion you may have and help you to earn many free giftcards like I do. In fact, I just put together today a changing table for new baby's nursery that was COMPLETELY FREE because of earning Amazon.com giftcards on swagbucks.

Q: What are Swagbucks?

A: Swag bucks is a search engine that awards you in the form of virtual dollars called swag bucks randomnly just for doing searches. You use Swagbucks just like Google or any other search engine. You can accumulate these swag bucks and then trade them in for awesome prizes and gift cards.You get 30 swag bucks just for joining here and then you can earn swagbucks every single day just by searching.

Searching Tips: Your searches do not have to be anything special or unique in nature. You can search the same few sites every day and still earn swag bucks. I even just search for Dearly Domestic daily. Try searching 1-5 times in the morning, afternoon, and evening. But once you've earned some swagbucks for your search STOP. Go back later and try again. Chances are if you just won some it will be a little while until you earn more. Be consistent and search daily, a few times a day, for the most effective searching. And try to search "naturally."

Q: Is searching the only way to earn swag bucks?

A: NO! There are a bunch of different ways to earn swag bucks including...

Browse Special Offers: At the top of the swag bucks homepage is a drop down tab that says "Ways to Earn". If you click on it and click the special offers butto,n you can then just "skip" through all the special offers to earn yourself 1 swagbuck every day! I try to do this every day. It only takes 1 minute.

Surveys: Also checking the "ways to earn" tab is a surveys button. If you take a survey through swagbucks you can earn between 5-100 swagbucks just for a few minutes of your time. You may not, however, qualify for all the surveys. But just for visiting this feature daily you can also score yourself 1 swag buck a day.

Toolbar: If you download and use the swagbucks toolbar you earn some bucks every day. Sometimes there are hidden "codes" waiting there. Here is how to download it:

From swag bucks home page, look down the left hand side of your screen for a picture of a wrench and the word toolbar. Select this and follow the prompts.

Swag Codes: There are periodically special "codes" that can earn you additional swag bucks! I try to update you on when these are out on Facebook. To find out if there is a code I do a search for"swidget" on swag bucks. Then I click the "swag codes" button and see if there is a code out. The swidget will let you know where the code is and sometimes what it is. You can find these codes on the swag bucks blog, facebook page, or other hidden swag bucks areas. 

To enter a code you must be logged into swagbucks. You will see a white box on the right hand side of your screen that says "enter swag code". You can copy and paste the code right there. However, be careful not to add extra spaces before or after the code as it won't work. Also, make sure the correct letters are captalized. And, if you find a code in the blog or elsewhere enter it quickly as they change every few seconds.

Shop: If you like to shop online then go through the SHOP link on swag bucks homepage to earn additional swag bucks.

Trade: Trading in old electronics on swagbucks can also score you some swag bucks.

Polls: Click on the "ways to earn" tab at the top and click on "daily polls" to earn yourself an additional 1 swag buck daily!

Mega Swag Bucks: Every Friday is Mega Swagbucks day and can earn you some great swag bucks. Sometimes I earn 30 or 40 on Fridays.

Referals: When you refer your friends to swagbucks you earn points too. You can refer friends by clicking on the "promote" tab at the top.  There is no limit to how many people you can refer and when they win from searchign you also get the points they earn.

PRIZES!!! : So, now that you know how to earn swagbucks you can save them up to redeem for some great prizes!!! I love saving mine up to redeem for Amazon.com giftcards because I can usually score some great deals there. Once you've decided what to spend your points on you can purchase 2 of the same kind of prize daily and a limit of 5 of any of the same prize monthly. So, you can get yourself (5) $5 Amazon.com gift cards per month and (5) $25 Amazon.com gift cards per month, etc...  Once you've redeemed your prize you will get a confirmation email sent to you that you will have to reply to. It may take as long as 10-15 days for you to receieve your prize to your swagbucks account. Some (Starbucks) will come in the mail. If you choose a gift card here are some of my favorites:

Barnes and Noble, Restaurants.com, PayPal, Starbucks, Target, iTunes, and AMazon.

There are hundreds of prizes! 

Amazon.com gift cards can be stacked (which is how I use them.) I usualyl can cash in (5) $5 Amazon.com cards per month. I then apply them to my "gift card balance" in Amazon.com and save them up there until I have a good amount ready to spend.

 You could also just build up enough swagbucks and then redeem for a higher value Amazon.com gift card but it will cost you more swag bucks in the end.
