I just had to share these photos of my daughter's new book slings. I saw these posted on pinterest and knew tey would be perfect for the dormer cubby in my daughter's bedroom (the perks of a cape cod!). They were an easy sewing job (straight lines and I think somewhat quick) but I just couldn't seem to carve out 2 hours of time to set to work on them. I asked Her Aunt Krista if she would put them together for her (she is a pro! I'm just a rookie sewer) and she agreed, willingly. After a trip to Lowe's to pick up 4 double curtain brackets and 4 dowel rods (according to sizes on curtain brackets) and with some help from my handy hubby we got them up and filled with books in no time!
If you have a moment you should totally go check out my Sister In Law's Facebook fan page for her business, Quiccadilly (specializing in handmade quilts, kid's clothing, and home decor). Tell her I sent you! It would make her day.
You can find the tutorial for these slings here.
